Book smart, street smart.
Here’s a little secret we’ll let you in on: owning a house during four years of college is cheaper (and much nicer) than renting. Wish we had known this while we were in school — instead, we were bunking it up and “cooking” ramen noodles in the microwave.
We don’t wish that on anyone.
This two bedroom house is walking distance to University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, and Carlow College. For rainy days, the Pitt buses run right through the neighborhood. Rent out the second bedroom — it’ll pay for itself and also give you some extra pocket money. Use the den to host study groups. And, most importantly, make real-people food in the full kitchen.
So, lesson learned. Street smarts are as important as book smarts. We know school ain’t cheap, so let this house work for you.
